– Setup Page
The page is used to set camera titles and other parameters associated with each camera.
Select the camera to be configured by clicking on the down arrow on the right-hand side of the
Camera field and then click on the desired camera from the drop-down list to select it.
Camera Nuisance Count: If a camera failure alarm is received, the unit will store the alarm time and
monitor the number of times the same alarm is triggered within an hour. If this stored figure
exceeds the number entered here, the unit will cease sending reports until the fail condition has
stopped. To disable this feature, leave the setting as "0".
Title: Used to set a custom name for the selected camera.
Mode: Describes the type of camera selected. This will be one of the following types:
•
IP Camera Remote Codec: The codec in the remote NetVu connected video server or camera
is used to allow change Multimode profiles and perform additional activities such as VMD
and Activity Detection as if remote codec was an integral part of the DVR, reducing the
loading on the unit's internal codecs. The Remote codec option is only applicable for NetVu
Connected cameras.
•
No Conn: Select if a particular channel is not in use or the camera has failed.
IP Address: The IP address of the selected camera.
IP Port: The IP port of the selected camera.
IP Channel: The physical channel to use of the selected camera. If the IP Address above is a
multichannel device, this setting specifies which channel to use.
Stream Protocol: Choose between TCP streaming and UDP streaming for remote codec operation
only. TCP is used when connections are less reliable as it provides a degree of error correction.
UDP streaming provides increased network streaming bandwidth but only provides limited error
correction.
