around moving machinery, electrical and chemical hazards, and sharp edges.
DONNING THE HARNESS
Step 1.
Pick up the harness by the back D-ring (1). Ensure the straps are not
twisted. Figure A
Step 2.
Pass arms through the shoulder straps (2) keeping the chest strap (3) with
quick connect buckle to the front. Figures B, C, D
Step 3.
Draw the leg straps (4) between the legs and connect the respective quick
connect buckles by inserting the tab of each buckle into its’ socket. See
Figures C and D. You will hear a click when the tab engages. Pull the free
end of the strap (5) away from the buckle to make a snug
fi
t around each
thigh. See Figure E. To loosen the leg strap, pull the yellow plastic part of
the buckle away from the leg to allow the strap to pull through the buckle.
To release the buckle, press the silver-colored tabs (7) on the buckle
towards each other with one hand, while pulling on the buckle tab with the
other hand. Figure C
Step 4.
Fasten the chest strap (3) by inserting the tab into the socket of the
quick connect buckle. See Figure C and D. You will hear a click when the
tab engages. The chest strap should be 150 mm down from the top of
shoulders. Pass excess strap through the loop keepers. The strap may be
tightened to a snug
fi
t by pulling the free strap end to the left (away from
the buckle). To loosen the chest strap, pull the yellow plastic part of the
buckle away from the body to allow the strap to pull through the buckle. To
release the buckle, press the silver-colored tabs (8) on the buckle towards
each other with one hand, while pulling on the buckle tab with the other
hand. Figure D
Step 5.
Adjust shoulder straps (2) to a snug
fi
t by pulling excess strap through the
parachute buckles (6) on each side of the harness. Figures B, D, E
Step 6.
If a seat sling is present, position the seat webbing (22) under the buttocks
for maximum support and comfort. During use, always attach backup fall
protection to the back dorsal D-ring (23) on the harness. Figure J
The ExoFit™ harness is also available with an integral work positioning belt with side
