Install the new stem seals.
Intake side stem seal :
HONDA GENUINE PARTS No.
12209-KY2-003
Exhaust side stem seal :
HONDA GENUINE PARTS No.
12209-KT7-013
Install the valve springs with the tightly wound
coils facing the combustion chamber.
Lubricate the valve stems and insert the valve into the valve guide.
Install the valve spring retainer.
Install the valve cotters using a special tool (valve spring comperssor).
OIL
To prevent loss of tension, do not compress the valve spring
more than necessary.
SHIM
OIL
Apply oil to the valve tips and shims.
Set the shim in the retainer.
