3.3.3.3 Background Suppression Control
This menu controls the background
suppression method. For best results, set this
control to ‘off’. When BGND SUPPRESS is
off, the background suppression is made by
the selecting the best Luma (light or dark)
value for the Chroma Key Matte (set in the
Chroma Matte Menu).
If the Key Generation is setup optimally,
then this will suppress the background.
When
Bgnd Supression
control is set to
‘On’ then the Background suppression is
performed more aggressively.
This results in a key that is easier to set up,
but with harder edges, which will be more
obvious with HD signals.
3.3.3.4 Quick Setup Menu Bgnd Suppression Control
This menu provides 4 quick setups for the
Chroma keyer, divided into two Blue
selections, and two Green selections.
Pressing one of these selections loads a set
of preset values that allow quick set up of
the Chroma Keyer.
If necessary, the Chroma keyer settings can
then be adjusted to improve the keying.
