components, take careful precautions before handling
your hard disk.

Compatibility Disclaimer

NOTE: This Hot Plug tray is only compatible with the
following models of Compaq

®

 Proliant

TM

:

3000, 1600, 6000, 6500, 7000, 5500, 1600R,

1850R, 2500, 6200H, 1200, 850R

NOTE: Drives used with this Hot Plug tray should
be verified as compatible with one of the above
server models prior to attempting installation.

Drive Termination Warning

NOTE: You MUST disable any automatic or
passive drive termination features on your hard
drive prior to using a drive in this tray.

Remove Cover Grill from Tray

1. This kit comes with two cover grills for the tray,

a 1” Low Profile cover, and a 1.6” Full Height
cover.  Remove whichever of these two
covers is attached to the tray by sliding the
cover back and then lifting it up and away from
the tray.

Install Drive into Tray
1. Make sure your drive is oriented correctly on

the tray so that the HD 68 pin connector side
of the drive is pointed toward the Rear of the
Tray. (Figure 2).

2. Fasten the drive to the bottom of the tray via

the four mounting holes (Figure 2).
