Description

The PA70081 HDMI

®

 Cable Tester is designed to check 

and troubleshoot the pin connections of HDMI

®

 (high 

definition multimedia interface) cables. It is ideal for 

testing the continuity of each pin of an HDMI

®

 cable 

prior to installation on equipment.

Operation

1.  Install a 9 V battery into the master unit.
2.  Connect one end of the HDMI

®

 cable to the master 

unit, and the other end to the remote unit.

Test Results

• If all nine LEDs light up, the cable is defined as pass.

Note:  This tester is only suited for continuity tests. It 

does not indicate intercross issues or response time 

issues on cables or connections.

• If any LED does not light up, the cable is defined as 

failed.
