3.3.1 Hardware 

Reset 

 
In case the Rhino-NET™ terminal locks up and cannot be unlocked a hardware reset can be 
performed as follows: 
 

1.  Turn off the Rhino-NET™ power switch. 

2.  Press and hold the FUNC key while turning on the power switch. 

3.  Release the FUNC key. 

 

 

CAUTION 

All data in the volatile memory will be lost when implementing this 
procedure. 

 
 

3.3.2 Software 

Reset 

 
A software reset can be performed on the Rhino-NET™ terminal as follows: 
 

1.  Turn off the Rhino-NET™ power switch. 

2.  Press and hold the CTRL key while turning on the power switch. All data in the 

volatile memory will be preserved. 

3.  Release the CTRL key. 

 
 

3.4  BATTERY WARNING MESSAGES 

 
Whenever the Power Switch is turned on, Rhino-NET™ performs a check on the backup and 
RTC Clocks and if any anomaly or a low battery condition is encountered, a warning 
message is displayed. You can continue working after closing the message window.
