DD400 Series Restorer User Guide

Remove the WINS server

To remove the WINS server IP address, use the 

reset wins-server

 operation.

cifs reset wins-server

Set CIFS Options

The handling of CIFS operations on a restorer can be affected by options set with the 

cifs

 

command. Currently, the only functional option is to set the level of messages that go to the 
CIFS-related log files on the restorer under 

/ddvar/log/windows

. The command is 

cifs 

option set

.

cifs option set 

name value

The current valid name is 

loglevel

 that can take a value from 

0

 (zero) to 

10

 (ten). Zero is the default 

system value. The lower the value, the fewer log messages go to the logs. As an example:

Set "loglevel" to "4".

Reset CIFS Options

To reset CIFS options to the default, which is 0 (zero) for the logging level, use the cifs reset 
command.
