Drywall: (the most common wall material) does not require pre-drilling unless you will be mounting through the
drywall into a wood or metal stud

Wood or thru drywall into wood or metal studs: 7/64 inch [for pre-drilling prior to driving the RHW and FHW
screws]

Plaster, masonry or concrete: 3/16 inch

[to install plastic anchors into plaster, concrete or masonry walls]

Level (Spirit type or similar) [for leveling the shelf]

Stud Finder [used to located wood or metal studs for more secure wall mounting]
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Determine the mounting location
a.
Suggested considerations
i.
What will its primary function be?
ii.
Will the shelf be used while standing or
sitting?
iii.
Will it be used as a billiard cue rack?
iv.
Avoid mounting it where it would create a hazardous
protrusion
2.
Verify all components and hardware are present and become familiar with them
3.
Attach the brackets to the bottom of the shelf using the FHS and RHS screws
a.
The bottom of the shelf has small positioning holes
that line up with the bracket holes—two holes at the
middle for the large bracket and one hole at each
end of the shelf for the two small brackets. Center
the bracket hole over the hole in the wood then
attach the bracket using the FHS and RHS screws.
The RHS screws correspond with the small brackets;
