5.7  Connecting Regen/Load Share Terminals

The optional regeneration/load share terminals are found at the top of the drive. For drives with IP21/IP54 enclosures, the
wiring is routed through a cover surrounding the terminals. Refer to 

Illustration 5.5

.

Size the wiring according to the current of the drive. For maximum wire sizes, see 

chapter 10.1 Electrical Data

.

•

Comply with local and national electrical codes for cable sizes.

Procedure

1.

Remove 2 plugs (for either top entry or side entry) from the terminal cover.

2.

Insert cable fittings into the terminal cover holes.

3.

Strip a section of the outer cable insulation.

4.

Position the stripped cable through the fittings.

5.

Connect the DC(+) cable to the DC(+) terminal, and secure with 1 M10 fastener.

6.

Connect the DC(-) cable to the DC(-) terminal, and secure with 1 M10 fastener.

7.

Tighten the terminals in accordance with 

chapter 10.8.1 Fastener Torque Ratings
