Checking abnormal noise
The characteristics of the piping system and construction can, under unfavourable circumstances, cause noise and vibration to be ampli-
fied at certain speeds.
Test-run the heat pump in both hot water and heating operating modes, and check that there is no abnormal noise.
Test-run the heat pump across the entire speed range of the compressor and check that there is no abnormal noise. While this test is in
progress, check that there is no abnormal noise in other parts of the building.
Any problems should be remedied in the first instance by checking the pipe installation and install flexible hoses and sound damping
pipe clamps in the vicinity of the pump. If any problems remain, problematic compressor speeds can be blocked/adjusted in the control
system.
Circulation pump settings (max/min) speeds can be adjusted in the control system.
