9 Re-installation of ECDIS
Warning: A watchdog timer on the I/O interface will restart the ECDIS after 4 minutes if the
operating system is not started - i.e. the 3 first steps described below must be executed without
hesitation.
1. The service CD is needed for re-installation of the ECDIS software. Power the DPU off and
on (operate the AC breaker). As soon as “beeps” are heard from the DPU or text appears on
the monitor, press
[F10] repeatedly and the “boot menu” will be displayed.
2. Load the service CD into the DVD/CD drive
3. Select the DVD drive (use arrow up/down and return). The DVD drive is currently
identified by the text
“USB CDROM: TSSTcorpCDDVDW”
