TT01
Description
The Troubleshooting Tree 01 indicates that the event
log has been cleared.
This SysFile ID could be raised on the subsequent
power up if the MCU was switched OFF before the
“ReadyToPowerOff” CAN status on a shutdown
sequence. The potential result of this SysFile ID could
be a loss of all the SysFile IDs previously recorded in
the MCU.
If SysFile section was corrupted, the SysFile is
cleared. In this case, a followed warning (SysFile ID
0x000A) will indicate more detail upon nature of the
clearance of the SysFile. See Subtree TT02.
MCU power off
The
MCU
shall
indicate
the
status
“ReadyToPowerOff” via the CAN bus before
disconnecting power from the Auxiliary vehicle battery
(Vaux). If the power is switched off before this CAN
status, this SysFile ID can be raised.
Note:
A manual SysFile reset by an advance user can
also cause the SysFile to be cleared.
Note
: On MCU shutdown sequence
The SysFile gets written in the unit EEPROM memory
upon a shutdown sequence. If the Vaux power (12 V
or 24 V) is removed before the MCU is in
« ReadyToPowerOff » state via CAN, the SysFile
section could possibly get corrupted and will be
cleared on the next power ON.
Note
: Refer to the Dana TM4 Product installation
guide
for
more
details
on
installation
and
deinstallation procedure including safety warning
considerations.
Note
: Refer to the TM4 CAN protocol document for
correct MCU shutdown sequence.
To correctly diagnose the faulty system, connect the
Diagnostic Tool (see «Diagnostics» section for test
equipment and descriptions) and follow the
Troubleshooting Tree procedure below.
See “Safety Warnings” and “Troubleshooting Tips”
sections for general guidelines on system diagnostics.

0x0000
Indicates that the
SysFile event list has
been automatically
cleared.
1.
Wrong shutdown sequence. Auxiliary
vehicle battery (Vaux) (12V or 24V)
powered OFF before the MCU
“ReadyToPowerOff” CAN status on a
shutdown sequence.
2.
Manual SysFile reset by an advance user.
3.
Defective MCU.
