Description 

 
The Troubleshooting Tree 36 indicates an error where 
the command from the VMU is either out of range or 
is an invalid command. 
 
The command did not match what was required by the 
CAN protocol. 
 

Note:

  Refer  to  the  CAN  protocol  document  as 

published on the Dana TM4 extranet site. 
 
To correctly diagnose the faulty system, connect the 
Diagnostic  Tool  (see  «Diagnostics»  section  for  test 
equipment  and  descriptions)  and  follow  the 
Troubleshooting Tree procedure below.
