Troubleshooting
Low Voltage Distribution System
The low voltage distribution system distributes 12V
and 24V power throughout the vehicle to power
onboard equipment and accessories.
Component Descriptions
Low Voltage Batteries
The low voltage batteries are 12V batteries which
are used to power all LV onboard equipment. They
are connected in series to provide both 12V and 24V
output as needed for the various equipment on the
vehicle. The batteries are charged by the DCDC.
Equalizer
The purpose of the equalizer is to maintain an equal
level of charge between the two low voltage batteries
and to ensure the correct voltage is distributed on
the 12V and 24V networks.
MPDM
The Multiplex Power Distribution Module (MPDM)
provides a 12V output to power equipment
throughout the vehicle. The MPDM outputs are fused
and in some cases are controlled by relays.
12V Fusebox (C14)
The 12V fuse box provides a fused 12V output to
power equipment throughout the vehicle.
24V Fusebox (C20)
The 24V fuse box provides a fused 24V output to
power equipment throughout the vehicle.
LOTO Switch
The lockout / tag-out (LOTO) switch is used to
disconnect the LV networks from the DCDC and low
voltage batteries during maintenance activities.
