Click Inactive in Areas Mode.

Move the mouse pointer to within
the digitized picture and press
the left mouse button. Press and
hold the mouse button and drag
open a rectangle of the desired
size.
The inactive area is presented in
gray.
11.2 Active picture areas
If only smaller areas are to be used for motion detection, we
recommend first "deactivating" the entire picture area. Note the
procedure described under "Inactive picture area" here.

If the entire picture area is
"inactive", click Active under
Areas Mode. You can now set
the active areas within the picture
area.
If the marked active area is too
small for the evaluation, a
corresponding message appears.

Your settings are applied and become effective by clicking the
OK button.
¾
If you click Cancel, the settings are not accepted. All settings in
effect before the Areas dialog was opened remain intact.
NOTE
Check the recording after setting the area.
If the active areas are too small, there is a risk
that important pictures will not be recorded.
