5. Initial Configuration
5.1 Mains Power Connection
The AMP-2500 DSP amplifier incorporates a power
factor corrected universal power supply and can be
used with mains input voltage from 100V AC to 240V AC,
50/60Hz. Use the mains cable supplied with the amplifier
and connect it to a mains supply.
Press the front panel power button to switch on the
amplifier. After a short delay the front panel Status
indicator will illuminate green.
5.2 Amplifier Network
Connection
The AMP-2500 DSP amplifier is configured via the DALI
PHANTOM CI AMP CONFIGURATOR web interface.
Before the configuration menus can be accessed, the
AMP-2500 DSP amplifier must be either connected
to the same network as the configuration device, or
connected directly to a configuration device via either
WiFi or Ethernet. The configuration device can be a
smart phone, tablet or computer.
Before making input, output or GPIO
connections to an AMP-2500 DSP amplifier it is
important that it is configured appropriately, or
has the appropriate functional profile installed,
for the speakers that are to be used.
The AMP-2500 DSP is by default configured with a DALI
PHANTOM IW SUB S-100 subwoofer functional profile
installed. Deleting or modifying the IW SUB S-100 profile,
or installing a profile for an alternative DALI speaker,
requires that the AMP-2500 DSP amplifier is connected
to mains power, switched on, and connected to either
a TCP/IP network or directly to a configuration device
for access to the DALI CI AMP CONFIGURATOR web
interface.
NOTE
If access to the AMP CONFIGURATOR is not
required jump to Section 6 of this manual for guidance
on audio signal and IW SUB S-100 subwoofer
connections. Establishing network access to the AMP
CONFIGURATOR is however recommended in all cases.
