4.3.2.3 Fiber Cable Installation
The
t43™
is equipped with two chassis mount, outdoor industrial LC adapters, each providing waterproof
bidirectional optical interface for band 1 and 2 payload data, and M&C signals. A second optical interface enables
daisy-chain networking with other
t43™
s.
The
t43™
ships with mating outdoor industrial LC/UPC cable connectors (refer to Figure 4-5) that the installer
should assemble onto environmentally hardened, single mode optical fiber cable, used for interface between the
remote unit and an outside plant splice tray.

9. Remove the
t43™
optical connector dust cap, and fiber cable connector dust cap.
10. Align and insert the plug end of the cable connector into the
t43™
optical connector receptacle. Lock the
cable connector in place by turning connector clockwise.
11. Route the fiber cable to the outside plant box. Secure optical cable using standard practices.
12. Repeat the steps 5 to 7 if second optical cable installation is required to establish daisy-chain connection
of this
t43™
to another
t43™
or
t30™
