2.2.2.2 DRU Mechanical Description
The DRU mechanical assembly is comprised of an environmentally sealed chassis and variety of active and
passive electronic modules housed inside. The DRU is designed for implementation in outdoor and indoor
applications.
Heat produced by the active components is dissipated using a forced air cooling system comprised of the heat
sink located at the back of the unit and two long-life, environmentally hardened fans located at the top of the unit.
Figure 2-7 with see-through view shows position of the electronic components, fans and the heat sink.
Unit size (WxHxD) is: 241x838x152 mm (9.5”x33”x6”).
