6 Troubleshooting
This section lists potential problems with the system, indicates possible causes, and
suggests corrective action. This list does not include every possible problem, but it does
represent some of the more common situations that may occur.
Note:
Be sure to power on the audio control rack, fiber conversion box, and cabinet
breakers. Make sure all connections from source to the cabinet are intact.
Symptom/Condition
Possible Cause
Solution/Items to Check
No power to audio cabinet;
green indicator light is off on
bottom of control enclosure
Breaker is off at sign
Turn breaker ON.
Bad power supply
Order a new power supply
(part # A-2238).
No audio from cabinet, but
signal can be heard through
headphones or a monitor
speaker
No power at cabinet
Turn breaker ON.
Fiber conversion box is
unplugged from wall outlet or
cable to audio control rack
Plug in fiber conversion box
power/signal.
Analog signal out of the
mixer is not being correctly
converted to a digital signal
Set the fiber box ANALOG

No fiber connection to
cabinet; fiber link down
