detector does not respond properly, you must reprogramme the zone.
You have assigned the detector its chosen zone. If you wish to switch to another
zone at any time, you will have to repeat the zone programming operation (having
first opened the detector).
FIG. H
If you add a glass break sensor or a second magnetic contact (NC
type: normally closed) to the door/window detector.
●
Remove connection G2,
●
Connect the 2 sensor or contact wires to the detector screw terminal.
FIG. I
Fixture
Determine the exact point where the detector is to be fixed (see INSTALLATION
PRECAUTIONS).
●
The magnet holder must be less than 5 mm from the detector and opposite the
built-in opening contact (align the arrows on the bottom of the bases).
●
The glass break sensor (5) must be fixed in one of the corners of the pane
roughly 2.5 cm from the corner.
●
Fix the detector base either using the screws and dowels supplied or more sui-
table ones if required.
●
Clip the detector onto its base. The tamper-proof function is now activated.
Adjust the height of the magnet holder (3) with its wedges (4) so that it is at the
same height as the top of the detector.
Once you have fixed the magnet holder, place the magnet (2) inside it (between
the two screws in the specially designed groove). Clip the cover onto the magnet
holder (1).
Fix the glass break sensor (5) onto the pane using its double sided self-adhesi-
ve pad (ideally it should be fixed to a clean, dry pane at a temperature of between
21°C and 38°C). Hold the sensor firmly in place to ensure quality fixing.
NB: you MUST fix the magnet even if only the glass break sensor is used.
Test
Briefly press the detector’s test key (the light indicator will come on) in order to
place it in the test mode for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Open once or twice the door or window protected by the detector: the red light indi-
cator will come on each time it is opened, and will go out when it is closed.
Close the protected door or window and hit the pane next to the glass break sensor
with a screwdriver handle: the light indicator will come on.
After the test period the detector will switch to the normal operating mode:
the light indicator will no longer come on each time a door or window is ope-
ned, and the detector will only send radio signals to the control panel each
time it detects an opening and in any case no more than every 1 minute and
30 seconds.
Use the alarm system to really test the detector (see LOGISTY INSTALLATION
GUIDE, chapter 6).
The warranty conditions of the door/window detector are the same as those given
in the documents supplied with the control panel or telephone dialler.
