Test Note:

All symptoms listed above are diagnosed using the same tests.

The title for the tests will be P1643-VISCOUS HEATER RELAY
OPEN CIRCUIT.

When Monitored and Set Condition:

P1643-VISCOUS HEATER RELAY OPEN CIRCUIT

When Monitored:

With the ignition on.

Set Condition:

The ECM does not detect voltage on the Viscous Heater Relay Control

circuit.

P1643-VISCOUS HEATER RELAY SHORT CIRCUIT

When Monitored:

With the ignition on.

Set Condition:

The ECM detects excessive current on the Viscous Heater Relay Control

circuit.
