3.32  Outdoor Unit Main/Sub PCB Abnormality

All outdoor unit models

Error Code

E1

Method of Error 
Detection

Abnormality is detected under the communication conditions in the hardware section between the 
indoor unit and outdoor unit.

Error Decision 
Conditions

When the communication conditions in the hardware section between the indoor unit and the 
outdoor unit are not normal.

Supposed 
Causes

Defective outdoor unit main PCB (A1P)

Defective outdoor unit sub PCB (A8P)

Defective connection communication line between indoor and outdoor units

Troubleshooting

Return to normal?

YES

External factor other than error (for 
example, noise etc.).

Connect the communication line 
correctly.

Replace the outdoor unit main PCB 
(A1P).

NO

NO

Check if 

inside/outdoor relay 

wires of outdoor unit main/sub 

PCB is disconnected.

YES

Turn OFF the power once 
and turn ON again.

Caution

Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting 
connectors, or parts may be damaged.

Does the error 

code show E1-08/09?

Replace the outdoor unit sub PCB 
(A8P).
