1.12 Other Functions
1.12.1 Hot-Start Function
In order to prevent the cold air blast that normally occurs when heating operation is started, the
temperature of the indoor heat exchanger is detected, and the airflow is either stopped or
significantly weakened resulting in comfortable heating.
Note:
The cold air blast is prevented using similar control when defrost control starts or when the
thermostat is turned ON.
1.12.2 Signal Receiving Sign
When the indoor unit receives a signal from the remote controller, the unit emits a signal
receiving sound.
1.12.3 Indoor Unit ON/OFF Button
An
ON/OFF
button is provided on the display of the unit.
Press the
ON/OFF
button once to start operation. Press once again to stop it.
The
ON/OFF
button is useful when the remote controller is missing or the battery has run
out.
The operation mode refers to the following table.
Forced cooling operation
Forced cooling operation can be started by pressing the
ON/OFF
button for 5 to 9 seconds
while the unit is not operating.
Refer to page 116 for details.
Note:
When the
ON/OFF
button is pressed for 10 seconds or more, the forced cooling operation is
stopped.
1.12.4 Auto-restart Function
If a power failure (including one for just a moment) occurs during the operation, the operation
restarts automatically when the power is restored in the same condition as before the power
failure.
Note:
It takes 3 minutes to restart the operation because the 3-minute standby function is activated.
