Initial commissioning
The RoCon system offers a very wide range of application and
extension options.
The individual RoCon system components communicate via the
CAN data bus. For this, the RoCon BE1 circuit boards and the
RoCon B1 control units of the Daikin heat generator, as well as
possibly the optional
EHS157034
room station system compo-
nents and
EHS157068
mixer module, are connected with each
other via data bus lines.
These system components must be allocated unique functional
IDs, so that the data exchange and the assignment within the
RoCon system functions without any problems.
In many applications, nothing needs to be changed in the basic
settings. The more RoCon system components that are inte-
grated in the RoCon system, the more adjustments that need to
be made during initial commissioning or when extending the
heating system.
The assignment of the functional IDs is easiest when carried out
via the "Setup Wizard" installation menu. Most IDs can also be
adjusted to the conditions later via parameter settings at the re-
spective parameter levels (see chap. 6).
a) If
no optional RoCon system components are connected
to the
Daikin
heat generator
, only the RoCon BE1 control
panel and the integrated RoCon B1 control unit communicate
with each other in the RoCon system.
Adaptation of the IDs is not necessary.
The "Use Standard Config" query displayed during initial
commissioning can be confirmed with "Yes".
b) If
optional RoCon system components
such as
EHS157034
and / or
EHS157068
are connected, adaptation
to the IDs may be necessary.
4.1
Fundamental aspects of the IDs and authorisations in the RoCon system
In the RoCon system, the following functional IDs that are rel-
evant for data exchange of the RoCon system components exist:
In addition to the commissioning instructions listed in
this chapter, the specific commissioning instructions
listed in the respective installation instructions of the
Daikin heat generator must be complied with.

Comments
Heating circuit ID
Unique numbering of a heating circuit
in the heating system in the RoCon
system. A maximum of 16 heating cir-
cuits can be controlled.
Daikin heat generator
(RoCon BE1)
[Unmixed Circ Config]
Factory setting = 0
Should not normally be changed.
1)
EHS157034 room station
[HC Assignment]
Factory setting = Off
Adjustment required if different heating cir-
cuits are in the system and/or the [Master-
RoCon] parameter = On
EHS157068 mixer module
[HC Assignment]
Factory setting = Off
Must always be adapted to the setting of
the address switch (fig. 4-2).
Heat generator ID
Unique numbering of a heat gen-
erator in the RoCon system.
1)
Daikin heat generator
(RoCon BE1)
[BUS ID HS]
Factory setting = 0
Should not normally be changed.
1)
EHS157068 mixer module [Boiler Assignment]
Factory setting = 0
Should not normally be changed.
1)
Defines the heat generator that supplies
the assigned heating circuit with heat.
Terminal ID
Unique numbering of a RoCon B1 or
EHS157034 control unit from which a
heat generator and/or mixer module
can be remote controlled in the
RoCon system.
The authorisation for remote control
can be allocated to up to 10 control
units in the RoCon system. If remote
control in the RoCon system is to be
possible, the control unit must be al-
located the ID "0".
Daikin heat generator
(RoCon BE1)
[Terminaladress]
Factory setting = Off
The value should be set to "0" if at least 1
mixer module is connected in the RoCon
system, and the mixer circuit is to be op-
erated from the heat generator.
EHS157034 room station
[Terminaladress]
See tab. 6-1 or
tab. 6-17 - depending
on the set heating cir-
cuit ID and the current
operating mode
Factory setting = Off
The value must be set to a unique nu-
merical value in the RoCon system if the
room station system components are to be
remotely controlled using a valid device ID.
