9. Installing the optional
EKBUHAA(6V3/6W1) heater kit
The heater kit option can be installed to assist the heat pump during
heating operation or to provide primary heating during emergency
situations.
Reference is made to the heater kit's installation/operation manual for
general installation information. The EKBUHAA can be used together
with HXY(080/125) hydrobox unit, when below instructions are
followed!
The information in this chapter provides additional information on
how to connect the EKBUHAA to the HXY(080/125) hydrobox series.
Items which are mentioned within this chapter replace information
which is provided in the EKBUHAA installation/operation manual.
Especially information on how to connect hydraulically (general
setup) and electrically (wiring) connect EKBUHAA to the
HXY(080/125) should be consulted in this chapter.
Hydraulic connection example and electrical connection are
explained below.

Electric connection
The connection of EKBUHAA to HXY(080/125) hydrobox does not
require any optional PCB's to be installed in the HXY(080/125)
hydrobox. The EKRP1AHTA should not be used to connect the
heater kit to the HXY(080/125) hydrobox.
For details of the electrical connection of the EKBUHAA optional
heater kit to the HXY(080/125) hydrobox, refer to
Field settings related to the backup heater

how to make field settings
for field settings related to the EKBUHAA heater kit.
Other field settings which are explained in the EKBUHAA manual are
not applicable in combination with HXY(080/125) hydrobox. The
default values should be kept as mentioned in the installation field
setting list of the HXY(080/125) hydrobox.
Other information which is explained under field settings in the
EKBUHAA manual is not applicable in combination with the HXY
hydrobox.
10. Hand-over to the user
Once the test run is finished and the unit operates properly, please
make sure the following is clear for the user:
Fill in the installer setting table (see chapter 10) with the actual
settings.
Make sure that the user has the printed documentation and ask
him/her to keep it for future reference.
Explain the user how to properly operate the system and what
he/she has to do in case of problems.
Show the user what jobs he/she has to do in relation to
maintenance of the unit.
Explain the user about energy saving tips as described in the
operation manual.
