E EKSRDS1A
Control and pump unit for solar systems
4PW56033-1
Criteria for switching off:
– The pumps are switched off if the temperature difference falls below the "Delta T off" parameter value.
a)
With connected FlowSensor EKSFLP12A: The temperature difference between solar feed and return flow temperature
("T
V
" – "T
R
"). e.g. return flow temperature = 45 °C and "Delta T off" = 2 K; Solaris feed temperature <47 °C.
b)
Without FlowSensor: The temperature difference between solar panel and return flow temperature ("T
K
" – "T
R
").
– If the maximum storage tank temperature set in parameter "T
S
max" is reached (T
S
indicator flashes). In this case the pumps
can only be started again if the storage tank temperature has fallen by more than 2 K.
– If the maximum solar panel temperature set in parameter "T
k
zul" is reached (T
k
indicator flashes). In this case the pumps
can only be started again if the solar panel temperature has fallen by more than 2 K.
– After expiry of the time set in parameter "Time UB", the controller switches to operation mode and mon-
itors, in sequence:
a)
With connected FlowSensor EKSFLP12A: The temperature difference between solar feed and return
flow temperature ("T
V
" – "T
R
").
b)
Without FlowSensor: The temperature difference between solar panel and return flow temperature
("T
K
" – "T
R
").
– It is only with connected FlowSensor that the pump output is regulated in dependence of the temperature
difference between the solar feed and return flow temperature.
– With a short delay ("Time PsE") after switching on the solar circulation pump P
S
, the contact for solar
priority switches and transfers this signal to the air-water heat pump. The incorporated electronics
decides whether the pump fitted in the connection kit EKSOLHWAV1 is activated.
If a FlowSensor is not installed or is faulty, the solar panel circuit pump runs constantly at the set output level
(without speed control). The pumps are regulated exclusively by the temperature difference between the solar
panel and solar return flow temperature.

1
Switch-on delay BSK:
For maximum use of the heat the solar panel circuit is started before
circulating the storage tank circuit. The preheated plate heat
exchanger can heat immediately with the time-offset start of the tank
circulation pump.
2
Switch-off delay BSK:
To prevent temperatures >100 °C in the plate heat exchanger after
the solar panel circulation pump switches off, for the time
PsA
set in
the parameters.
