7.7 Calibration Mode
The calibration mode can be used to calibrate the current and the voltage values indicated on the touch panel as well as
the actual output current and voltage values.
The adjustment procedure of output current and output voltage differs depending on whether the touch panel is installed
on the wire feeder or on the welding power source.
T I P S
•
To calibrate the current and/or voltage value with this function, the followings are necessary:
- ARXIS WB-P403L: Calibrated voltmeter and ammeter, a resistance load, and a cable with a
cross section of 38 mm
2
or more
- ARXIS WB-P503L: Calibrated voltmeter and ammeter, a resistance load, and a cable with a
cross section of 60 mm
2
or more

Adjustment of output current
7.7.1.1
When the touch panel is installed on the wire feeder
1.
Connect a following resistance load to the output terminal.

ARXIS WB-P403L:
0.1
Ω
, 12.6 kW or more
(If no resistance load is applied, short-circuit between the output terminals by using a cable with a cross section
of 38 mm
2
or more.)

ARXIS WB-P503L:
0.09

, 22.5 kW or more
(If no resistance load is applied, short-circuit between the output terminals by using a cable with a cross section
of 38 mm
2
or more.)
●
The following methods can be carried out to form a short circuit.
ARXIS WB-P403L:
Connect a cable, having cable connectors at both ends (Specification: DIX SK 50/Part No.: 4734-016), to the
welding power source.
ARXIS WB-P503L:
Connect a cable, having cable connectors at both ends (Specification: DIX SK 70/Part No.: 4734-021), to the
welding power source.
2.
Connect an external ammeter or a measuring device that can measure an output current, such as a shunt
resistor.
3.
Turn OFF the power switch.
4.
Turn OFF the breaker.
•
When touching the internal parts of the welding power source, always perform the work
after turning off the breaker. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.
