Critical installation warnings
WARNING
• This appliance must be installed by a qualified technician or service company.
- Failing to have a qualified technician install the cooktop may result in electric
shock, fire, an explosion, problems with the product, or injury.
• Unpack the cooktop, remove all packaging material and examine the cooktop for
any damage such as dents. If there is any damage, do not operate the cooktop
and notify your dealer immediately.
• Keep all packaging materials out of the reach of children. Children may use
them for play and injure themselves.
• Install the cooktop on a sturdy, level cabinet that can support its weight.
- Failing to do so may result in problems with the cooktop.
• This appliance must be properly grounded.
• Do not ground the appliance to a gas pipe, plastic water pipe, or telephone line.
- This may result in electric shock, fire, an explosion, or problems with the
product.
• Do not cut or remove the grounding prong from the power cord under any

• Connect the cooktop to a circuit that provides the correct amperage.
• Do not install this appliance in a humid, oily or dusty location, or in a location
