Holdtime This parameter may be set for the time, in seconds; the Switch will hold information sent to it
from other switches, utilizing the Discovery Interval. The user may set the hold time from

Click Apply to implement the settings changed. After enabling the Switch to be a Commander Switch (CS), the Single IP
Management folder will then contain four added links to aid the user in configuring SIM through the web, including Topology ,
Firmware Upgrade , Configuration Backup/Restore and Upload Log .
Topology
The Topology window will be used to configure and manage the Switch within the SIM group and requires Java script to function
properly on your computer.
The Java Runtime Environment on your server should initiate and lead you to the topology window, as seen below.

The Tree View window holds the following information under the Data tab:
Parameter Description
Device Name This field will display the Device Name of the switches in the SIM group configured by the user.
If no device is configured by the name, it will be given the name default and tagged with the
last six digits of the MAC Address to identify it.
Local Port Displays the number of the physical port on the CS that the MS or CaS is connected to. The
CS will have no entry in this field.
Speed Displays the connection speed between the CS and the MS or CaS.
Remote Port Displays the number of the physical port on the MS or CaS to which the CS is connected. The
CS will have no entry in this field.
