D-Link introduces another breakthrough in wireless connectivity – the D-Link
Air
Plus series of high-speed
networking products that offer data transfer rates up to 22Mbps, 802.11b compatibility, enhanced security
with 256-bit WEP Encryption, and easy installation. In addition to these groundbreaking products are an
extremely affordable broadband router, dual mode access point (802.11a and 802.11b), and new Gigabit
switches to round out a very exciting month for D-Link product releases. Read on for details…
DI-614+
- The DI-614+ is a wireless broadband router that allows users to share a
cable or DSL connection and create an 802.11b wireless network with data transfer
rates up to 22Mbps! An intelligent, Web-based set up wizard allows users to quickly
and securely connect computers to share high-speed Internet access and other
network resources. Plus, the DI-614+ includes a built-in 4-port switch for additional
connectivity options and offers 256-bit WEP encryption for a higher level of security
compared to standard 802.11b products. The DI-614+ also incorporates advanced
firewall features like network address translation (NAT) and parental controls such
as content filtering and filtering scheduling that are easy to set up with a Web-based
user interface.
DWL-900AP+
- The D-Link DWL-900AP+ is an enhanced 802.11b Wireless Access
Point that offers data transfer rates up to 22Mbps (when used with other
Air
Plus
products) and can be configured to perform in any one of four modes – as a
wireless access point, as a point-to-point bridge with another access point, as a
point-to-multi-point wireless bridge, or as a wireless client. It also includes an
embedded DHCP server that once enabled will automatically assign IP addresses
to wireless clients eliminating the need for a separate DHCP server on the network.
The DWL-900AP+ also features 256-bit WEP encryption for a higher-level of
security compared to current 802.11b solutions.
DWL-650+
- The D-Link DWL-650+ is an enhanced 32-bit Card bus adapter that is
fully 802.11b compatible making it interoperable with all existing 802.11b compliant
devices and offers transfer rates up to 20% faster when connected to a standard
802.11b network. When you’re connected to other D-Link
Air
Plus products, the
performance is even greater – up to 22Mbps! The DWL-650+ also features 256-bit
WEP encryption for a higher level of security and includes a configuration utility to
discover available wireless networks and create and save detailed profiles of those
networks most often accessed.
DWL-520+
- The D-Link DWL-520+ is an enhanced 802.11b PCI Adapter that is
fully 802.11b compatible making it interoperable with all existing 802.11b compliant
devices and offers transfer rates up to 20% faster when connected to a standard
802.11b network. When you’re connected to other D-Link
Air
Plus products, the
performance is even greater – up to 22Mbps! The DWL-520+ also features 256-bit
WEP encryption for a higher level of security and includes a configuration utility to
discover available wireless networks and create and save detailed connectivity
profiles for those networks most often accessed.
