Description
The
create snmp view
command assigns views to community
strings to limit which MIB objects an SNMP manager can access.
Parameters <view_name 32>
− A string of up to 30 alphanumeric characters that
identifies the SNMP view to be created.
<oid 32>
− The object ID that identifies an object tree (MIB tree) to
be included or excluded from access by an SNMP manager.
<oid_mask 32>
− The object ID mask that identifies an object tree
(MIB tree) to be included or excluded from access by an SNMP
manager.
included
− Includes this object in the list of objects that an SNMP
manager can access.
excluded
− Excludes this object from the list of objects that an
SNMP manager can access.
Restrictions Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To create an SNMP view:
DGS-1100-06/ME:5#create snmp view dlink 1.3.6 1.1.1 view_type excluded
Command: create snmp view dlink 1.3.6 1.1.1 view_type excluded
Success!

delete snmp view
Purpose To remove an SNMP view entry previously created on the Switch.
Syntax
delete snmp view <view_name 32> <oid 32>
Description The
delete snmp view
command removes an SNMP view
previously created on the Switch.
Parameters <view_name 32>
− A string of up to 32 alphanumeric characters that
identifies the SNMP view to be deleted.
<oid 32>
− The object ID that identifies an object tree (MIB tree) that
is deleted from the Switch.
Restrictions Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To delete a previously configured SNMP view from the Switch:
DGS-1100-06/ME:5#delete snmp view dlink 1.3.6
Command: delete snmp view dlink 1.3.6
Success.
