Choosing an Operation Mode
The DIR-890L is equipped with a software mode switch to give you more flexibility in how to configure your network. You may choose to operate
this device in either
Router Mode
or
Access Point Mode (AP Mode)
.

Router Mode
shares your Internet connection. This is the factory default setting suitable for most users.
•
AP Mode
extends your existing network.
You may switch to AP Mode from the built-in web configuration utility after you have completed the hardware installation. Refer to
