Configure the following parameters in
/etc/portslave/pslave.conf
for the ports
that will use this menu shell.
s<x>.protocol telnet
conf.telnet /bin/menush
s<x>.authtype none
Where <x> is the port number being configured.
Step 2 - If authentication is required to gain access to the menu
The users default shell must be modified to run the
/bin/menush
. So in
/etc/passwd
the shell should be changed as follows. There should be something
like:
user:FrE6QU:505:505:Embedix User,,,:/home/user:/bin/menush
In
pslave.conf
the port where the serial terminal is attached must be configured
for login with authentication local. Configure the following lines:
s<x>.protocol login
s<x>.authtype local
Where <x> is the port number being configured.
Step 3 - Activating and saving the changes made.
To activate the changes issue the command:
# runconf
To save the changes, run the command:
# saveconf
CLI Method - Terminal Profile Menu
To set up which servers the users can access, follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Open the CLI interface by issuing the command:
# CLI
Step 2 - Configuring the terminal menu.
In this step we will configure the menu that will be prompted to the user
connecting from a dumb terminal.
Enter the terminal menu configuration:
cli>config applications terminalmenu
