WHAT IS A TETHER?
A tether reduces
movement of a forward
facing Child Restraint in a
crash and helps to achieve
a tight installation. Tether
anchor locations vary from
vehicle to vehicle.
Some of the typical locations are shown
here. Refer to your vehicle owner's
manual for exact locations, anchor
identification, and requirements
.
Look for
the tether
anchor
symbol.
As your child grows, you will need to change the Crotch Strap position so
that it is in the slot closest to your child. The Crotch Strap should ALWAYS
be as close as possible to, but NEVER under, the child's bottom.
1. Remove Buckle Pad.
2. Lift up on the Seat Cover.
3. Pull the Seat Cover forward. Slide the Harness Buckle through the opening.
4. Grasp the bottom of the Crotch Strap

and twist it to align with the length
wise slot

. Move to desired position. Twist strap back into position

5. Reattach the Seat Cover and Buckle Pad.
