User and Maintenance Guide Page 27/33

Maintenance operations (unless otherwise specified in the instructions given in this user
and maintenance guide) should always be carried out with the machine switched off and
disconnected from the mains power supply. When disconnecting from the mains power
supply, always remove the mains side connection first (to avoid electric shock hazard)
and then machine side.
Use extreme caution when carrying out these operations as the machine may contain a
quantity of refrigerant liquid that can cause serious harm if it should come into contact
with the eyes or the skin (burning and frostbite). We recommend that the operator wear
protective gear such as gloves and eye goggles.
!
Any residual waste products present after maintenance should not be disposed of in the
environment, but should be dealt with according to the legislative codes in force in your
Country.
8.1 GENERAL MAINTENANCE
This section describes the main maintenance operations to be carried out on the unit and the
various time intervals:
PERIODICALLY:
- Check the state of electricity supply cables.
- Check the oil level in the vacuum pump every three months.
- Change the oil in the vacuum pump every six months even when the unit is not used regularly.
- Change the dehydration filters every 12 months.
The station is equipped with a recovery cycle
counter; when the filters are saturated, every time the unit is switched on, a display with the
words “Filters” will indicate that they need to be changed shortly. Contact our after-sales
service centre.
- Check the calibration of the weighing machine.
