Replacement Components
The P1 PowerStation is designed to be a simple yet reliable unit to main-
tain. However, if you need to purchase replacement components for the P1
PowerStation, CTC carries a complete line of replacement components.
Flash Drive
If you need additional storage capacity for the P1 PowerStation, you can
purchase additional flash drives from CTC. CTC recommends that you
purchase at least one additional flash drive to serve as a backup for your
primary flash drive. See Using the Compact Flash Drive on page 48.
DRAM
If you need to upgrade or replace the P1 PowerStation’s DRAM, CTC
carries replacement SIMM modules. The P1 PowerStation comes with a
4MB 72-pin SIMM standard, but you can replace that module with either
an 8MB or 16MB 72-pin SIMM for greater capacity. If you have mounted
the unit in an enclosure, you will need to remove it before you can upgrade
or replace the DRAM. See Replacing the DRAM on page 54.
Touch Screen
Occasionally you will need to replace the P1 PowerStation’s touch screen,
depending on the environment where you are operating the P1. CTC
carries replacement touch screens that you can easily replace without
removing the unit from its enclosure. See Replacing the Touch Screen on
page 55.
