6 Control Descriptions
The controls of TANDEM 320 are accessible from the front panel, the board edge,
VisionPanel remote control panel or from VisionWeb PC software. The description of controls
used in this manual is based on VisionWeb but the path to locate controls via the front panel
or board edge follows the same logic. For instance, in the VisionWeb GUI the ‘Input Frozen’
control is located in the ‘
Video Status’
tab. To find the same control using the card edge or
front panel follow the path
Vid Status
to the
Ip Frozen
control.
VisionWeb GUI controls are located in a number of tabs, each containing controls. Some
controls have drop down windows as options, others are LEDs and some are check boxes,
buttons or sliders.
The description of the tabs are in the order shown in the GUI i.e.
VIDEO STATUS, AUDIO STATUS, FRONT SUB-PCB, REAR SUB-PCB, SET DE-
EMBEDDED AUDIO, SET AES AUDIO, AUDIO GAIN, DE-EMBEDDED AUDIO DELAY,
AES AUDIO DELAY, AUDIO DELAY VALUE, AES CONFIGURE, EMBEDDER ROUTER,
AES OUTPUT ROUTER / AOP OUTPUT ROUTER, MUTE & GROUP ENABLES,
PRESETS, RESETS, GPO ALARMS, SILENCE ALARM DELAY.
(Note that the DISCRETE AOP OUTPUT ROUTER tab is only available whenever an 3G-
AOP2 piggyback is fitted. If a DIOP4 piggyback is fitted instead, the tab displayed becomes
DISCRETE AES OUTPUT ROUTER. Neither tab is shown if neither 3G-AOP2 nor DIOP4
piggybacks are fitted.)
Each tab is shown with a screen grab and description of each control’s function. The controls
that are available vary with the option boards fitted and this is most noticeable with the routing
routers as the number of audio inputs and outputs will vary according to the optional audio I/O
piggybacks that are fitted. See section

for limitations.
For the most part, the GUIs for input A and input B channels are identical in function with the
exception that ‘front’ piggyback I/O is shown for input A and the ‘rear’ piggyback for input B.
Most of the VisionWeb screen shots below only show input A controls and any significant
differences are explained in the text.
