What is the warranty period?
The warranty commences on the date of purchase for a period of:
•
Seven (7) years for structural defects in the hull and deck.
•
Two (2) years for defects in the steering components listed in this warranty.
•
One (1) year gelcoat finish: protection from crazing, stress cracks and voids.
•
One (1) year for defects in all other components listed in this warranty,
unless specified by the equipment supplier.
What is covered?
Cruise Craft warrants to the original owner of a Cruise Craft boat that the following
components of its boat will be free from defects in material and workmanship, subject to the
terms below, during the warranty period:
•
The hull and deck including liners, stringers, transom, all deck and hull
joints;
•
The following non-structural components included with the boat at factory:
a. steering: helm, hoses, cables, hydraulic cylinders.
b. electrical: switches, wiring harness, lights (all types), all 12v equipment.
•
Fuel system: tank, hoses, fuel gauge sender, filler and vent.
•
Upholstery, carpets and canvas: stitching and workmanship.
•
Factory fitted accessories or standard equipment: ladders, windshield, rod
holders, tackle boxes, anchor bollards, cleats, bow rails, targa , hand rails, live
well plumbing, freshwater and saltwater pumps, bilge pump and float switch, and
steering wheel.
•
Gelcoat surfaces, including but not limited to, gelcoat cracks, star-crazing
or cracks, air voids, fading, chalking, hazing or water blistering. (We recommend
any boat that is to be left in the water have anti-fouling paint or similar protectant
applied to the bottom).
What is the owner required to do & when?
For this warranty to be effective, the owner must:
•
Send the warranty registration card to Cruise Craft within thirty (30) days of
purchase.
•
Notify Cruise Craft ,or its authorised representative in writing of any defect
within seven (7) days of discovery.
•
Deliver the boat to Cruise Craft, or its authorised representative, as directed
by Cruise Craft during the warranty period; and,
•
Be responsible for all costs relating to:
a. boat packing, freighting and storage costs.
b. tear down and repair costs if it is established that the part or parts
thought to be defective are not covered by this warranty.
