Docking Station to PC Serial Communication 

Use an RS-232 cable (RJ-11 – DB-9, such as the Crestron STCP-502 (not supplied) 
to connect the WPR-DS to the serial port of the PC. This connection can also be 
made with a modular RJ-11 cable and a DB9F to RJ-11 adapter. (Refer to the 
following illustration.)

WPR-DS Troubleshooting

Green power LED 
(Swirl Logo) does not 
illuminate. 

WPR-DS is not 
receiving power. 

Confirm that power pack is 
plugged into outlet, and connector 
is plugged into the WPR-DS 
power input port. 

 

Power pack not 
functioning 

Verify output (12 VDC minimum). 
Replace power pack if necessary. 

Power LED 
illuminates, but battery 
does not charge. 

Incorrect power 
pack being 
used. 

Verify that the power pack is 
correct - PW-1205 (120 VAC) or 
PWI-1210 (230 VAC).
