Installation

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—SMALL PARTS.

This package contains small parts that could detach or break and become a
choking hazard to children. These parts must be installed properly according to
the below instructions. Any and all risk is assumed by the installer.

Follow the procedures below to install the hembar and endcaps.

Install the Hembar

IMPORTANT NOTES (READ BEFORE INSTALLATION):

  •  Install the hembar before the shade is operated.
  •  Ensure that the hembar is free of debris and oils.
  •  Perform installation in a clean environment so that the shade material does not get

damaged or dirty.

  1.  Remove the hembar from the bag.
  2.  Insert the hembar end without the tape into the hem pocket at the bottom of the

shade. Ensure that the tape at the other end of the hembar is facing the window.

  3.  Slide the hembar into the hem pocket without letting the tape enter the hem pocket.

CAUTION:

The tape bonds with the shade fabric when the two surfaces make

contact. Do not apply pressure to the tape and shade fabric before the hembar is
in its final position. Damage to the shade may occur if tape is secured to the shade
fabric and then separated from the shade fabric.

  2.  Remove the backing from both pieces of tape by pulling down on the tab that

extends from the endcap.

  3.  Fully insert the end cap into the hem pocket and over the hembar.
  4.  Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the other end of the hembar.
  5.  Apply pressure to both sides of the endcap to ensure that the tape is making contact

with the hembar. Repeat for the other end of the hembar.

  6.  Tape requires 24 hours to fully cure. After 15 minutes, gently pull on the endcaps to

ensure that the tape has set. If endcaps come off with little effort, contact Crestron
for replacements.

WARNING:

Failure to perform step 6 correctly may result in the endcaps

falling off, posing a choking hazard to children.
