Product Information
The NC-SAC Module fits in the Power/Output bay located on the rear
panel of Crest Audio CKS, CKV & CKX Series Power Processing
amplifiers. It provides for NexSys
®
initiation or hard closure activation
of Sequential Turn-On/Off (STO) and includes NexSys AC Voltage and
Current monitoring circuitry. The NC-SAC turn-on and turn-off delay
times are user programmable via NexSys software.
Since the NC-SAC is self-powered prior to the AC mains closure and is
optically isolated from other amplifiers in the turn-on chain, loss of AC
power to any amplifier in the chain will not affect any others during
sequential turn-on. A three-position front panel power switch is fitted to
all CKS, CKV & CKX amplifiers. This must be in the “Remote” posi-
tion for the NC-SAC to initiate an STO sequence.
Architects and Engineers Specifications - NC-SAC.
The module shall plug into Crest Audio CKS or CKV Power Processing amplifiers in the
Power/Output bay. The module shall provide NexSys-initiated and hard closure initiated
sequential turn-on/off capability for the host CKS and/or CKV amplifier and a sequential
turn-on output to the next amplifier in the chain. Disconnection of AC power to any number
of amplifiers in the chain shall not affect the turn-on sequence capability of all other ampli-
fiers in the chain. The module shall contain the power supplies required for powering an
NC-NXS module.
The module shall include the hardware required for NexSys AC voltage and current moni-
toring. A 5mm 6-pin Phoenix connector shall be provided to transmit the turn-on initiation
voltage signal. A closure across two of the Phoenix connector terminals shall initiate the
turn-on/turn-off sequence. The module shall provide outputs for both amplifier channels on
barrier strip connectors and a signal ground lift jumper. The module shall be designated the
Crest Audio model NC-SAC.
