22 Chapter 2 – Operation
Automatic media loading will not begin until you submit files in the
workstation software. If you have already submitted the files you want to
image, automatic media loading starts immediately. For details on the
procedure for submitting files, see your workstation software
documentation.
Once files are submitted, the first plate on the load table is automatically
loaded. The imaged plate is ejected onto the unload table, and fed to your
plate processor or stacker.
While the first plate is being fed to a processor or stacker, the next plate on
the load table is loaded. The output device will continue to load and image
media until a different media size is required, the load table is empty, or an
error occurs in imaging or media handling.
Manual Operation
For situations in which automatic, multi-plate loading isn’t necessary or
practical, the output device supports manual media loading. The operator
door on the load table converts into a manual bypass tray that can be used
to image a single, manually-loaded plate or film.
CAUTION: Plate edges can be sharp. Failure to wear protective gloves can
result in personal injury.
To manually load a plate for imaging:
1.
Submit the file you want to image to the output device.
For details, see your workstation software documentation.
2.
Ensure the output device is ready to accept the plate for imaging.
This means:
•
The workstation is displaying a message telling you which size and
type of medium to load.
•
The Load light on the operator interface is lit, but not flashing.
When this light is flashing, you cannot open the operator door.
3.
Select the size and type of medium you need to load.
Note: The Trendsetter 3244+ AL system must be configured for manual
media-loading before you can use the manual load feature. It is not necessary to
remove any media from the load table before manually loading a single plate.
