ATTACH THE AUGER DRIVE CABLE
1. Attach the auger drive cable (

, Figure 4) to the auger drive lever
(

) using the “Z” hook (

).

ATTACH THE UPPER CHUTE
1. Remove the T-knob (
A
, Figure 5) and bolt on the upper chute
(
B
).
2. Rotate the upper chute to the operating position (past the
lower chute stop).
3. Install the bolt and tighten the T-knob.

ENGINE
Add Engine Oil
1. The snowthrower was shipped with a container of 5W30 engine
oil. Before operating, add this oil to the engine.
2. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick access panel (

, Figure 6)
3. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick (

). Fill to the FULL mark on the
oil fill cap/dipstick. Periodically check the oil level. DO NOT OVER
FILL.
NOTE: Oil level must be at FULL mark.
Install Fuel Cap
If not installed, install the fuel cap (
C
, Figure 6) onto the fuel tank.
Add Fuel
1. Fill the fuel tank with fresh unleaded fuel.
2. To extend the life of the fuel and prevent
starting problems, add the fuel stabilizer
supplied with the snowthrower. DO NOT
OVER FILL.

Check the fasteners. Make sure all fasteners are tight.

On electric start models, the unit was shipped with the starter
cord plugged into the engine. Before operating, unplug the
starter cord from the engine.
