Utility Screen Details
4.10.1
Time/Altitude Screen
The Time/Altitude screen is available in the hospital and transport domains and in standby and
ventilating condition.

Access the Time/Altitude screen through the More and Utility screens, as described in
.
Touch a button to activate (highlight) it, and then use the up and down arrow panel buttons to
adjust the setting. Press
Accept
to confirm changes or press
Cancel
to return to original settings.
Multiple parameters can be set before pressing
Accept
. The hours are displayed as a 24-hour clock
(1-12 for AM and 12-24 for PM).
Altitude can be displayed in meters or feet. The altitude adjustment is only for the accuracy of the
on-airway flow sensor. If the flow sensor is used, ensure that the altitude is set.
Note:
The Newport HT70 Ventilator automatically maintains accurate volume delivery in altitudes up to 15 000
feet. The patented twin micro-piston system is a volume displacement technology that will deliver the set
volume regardless of the altitude.
