System Messages
The instrument displays messages for defined events and fault conditions.
The manufacturer or distributor can enter user-defined text for the
messages. This user-defined text is displayed, instead of the default
(English) messages, when the Display Tags option in the Setup menu is set
to USER.
LINP
n
STATE
You can view the state of the logic inputs. If the input is an open contact
or inactive it will display
HI
. If the input is a closed contact or active it
will display
LO
.
OUT
n
STATE
You can control the state of the outputs. Press the
or
keys to set
the output state as follows:
•
PROCESS
- the output depends on the current values of the inputs
and the calculations that the instrument performs.
For a pulse output, such as a total, the output produces a pulse train as
follows:
•
ON
- a pulse train with a pulse width as set for the particular output
in the Outputs menu.
•
OFF
- no output.
For a 4-20mA output, such as a rate, the output is as follows:
•
HI
- the output is set to 20mA.
•
LO
- the output is set to 4mA.
ALRM
n
STATE
or
REL-
n
You can control the state of the relays (alarms). Press the
or
keys to set the selected relay as follows:
•
PROCESS
- the relay operates according to the current values of the
inputs and the relay settings as programmed.
•
OPEN
- the relay output contacts are set to “open”.
•
CLOSED
- the relay output contacts are set to “closed”.
SUPPLY
V
You can display the actual DC output supply voltage, which may help
with troubleshooting.
If the actual supply voltage is lower than the preset value (refer to
on page 47) it may indicate that the output is
overloaded.
