DEFROSTING
Over time, the surfaces of the freezer will progressively become covered
with ice, which must be removed.
Do not use any sharp metal tools to scrape the ice that forms on the
condenser due to the risk of damaging the surface.
When the layer of ice on the freezer’s internal surfaces becomes very
thick, follow these instructions to remove it.
Unplug the unit from the mains, then remove the drain plug from the
defrosting outlet located on the inside of the unit. Defrosting normally
takes a few hours but it is possible to speed up the process by leaving
the freezer door open.
Place a container under the outlet to catch the water as the freezer
defrosts, then pull on the plug located on the outside of the unit.
Rotate the drain plug through 180° so that the hole faces
downward, allowing the water to escape into the container.
Once the water has drained completely, move the outer plug,
then the inner plug back into position.
NOTE: consider monitoring the water level in the container to prevent
it from overflowing.
Wipe down the inside of the unit, then plug it back in. Set the thermostat
to the desired level.
