9.4 Electronic pressure switch
The pressure controller has been adjusted in
the factory, any intervention must be carried
out in the factory. Conti declines any
responsibility in case of non-respect.
9.5 12 bar Security valve
This component assure the security of the coffee group when the pressure is
exceeding12 bar.
The gasket has to be changed once a year to assure the correct functioning.
When the technician opens the valve to change the gasket, the setting of the valve has
to be adjusted again. Follow the next procedure:
_ Turn off the machine.
_ Remove the side panels and the cup warmer.
_ Close the cut-off tap of the selected group.
_ Remove the connector of the coffee solenoid valve and the electrical supply of the heating
element of the boiler.
_ Open the 12 bar security valve and change the gasket.
_ Assemble the body L ( fitted with the nut C ) in the brass part of the security valve.
_ Turn on the machine.
_ Open the cut-off tap of the selected group.
_ Accede to the adjusting screw of the pump, press the "2 long coffee" push-button and adjust
the pressure up to 12 bar.
_ On the 12bar security valve: unscrew the locknut C, screw slowly the body
L, check the
dripping of the water in the silicone pipe.
_ Screw the locknut C to the brass part to fix the setting.
_ Adjust the setting of the pump again to 9 bar.
_ Turn off the machine and reassemble all the components.
9.6 Recommendation
Each intervention inside the machine must be executed with some precautions:
1/ Switch the machine off.
2/ Close the cut-off tap of the main water supply.
3/ Remove the existential pressure of the steam boiler (open the steam tap "V" ).
If the earth protection has to be disconnected, firstly remove the electrical plug.
The non-respect of those directives relieve the manufacturer of all responsibility in case
of any accident.
