2.3 Responsibilities
The user is responsible for the observance of industrial safety and the proper use of the cold fogger. All
users must be given adequate training in all aspects of fogging, documented in writing. The operating
instructions for the unit must always be kept available.

General safety instructions
All users must be informed about the safety regulations to be observed.
•
The cold fogger may only be used if it is in perfect condition.
•
If damage is detected before or during operation, the system must be stopped immediately. All
measures must be taken to prevent further damage to equipment and facilities or damage to
plants and animals, the environment and people. The compressed air connection may only be
connected or disconnected when the lines are free of pressure and flow.
•
The sockets responsible for the supply of electrical power must be in a perfect and tested con-
dition. The rated voltage must be the same as that of the appliance, it must be able to supply at
least 10 A of current.
•
All parts of the structure, technical equipment, stored goods and other items in the room to be
treated must be checked for their compatibility with the agents to be used!
•
Modern disinfectants often contain acids. The general regulations for handling acids must be
observed. The compatibility of the acids with the materials used in the unit must also be checked.
•
The applicable Technical rules for hazardous substances, valid work protection guidelines and the
hazardous materials ordinance must be observed.
•
The ambient temperature for the unit must not be below 5°C.
•
The cold fogger may only be moved with a completely empty container
•
It is forbidden to stay in front of the fog machine in operating condition.
The following points must be observed to ensure proper function:
•
The room to be fogged must be sealed so that the fog cannot escape unintentio-
nally and cause damage.
•
The room must have adequate ventilation.
•
Technical equipment that could be attacked by the fog, such as control technolo-
gy, lighting or heating technology, must be protected.
•
From a certain room size on, additional ventilation is necessary to distribute the
fog evenly.
•
The room must be equipped in such a way that the fog jet can flow unhindered
into the room, otherwise undesirable highly concentrated deposits may occur.
•
The unit must be operated and stored frost-free.
