Communication Troubleshooting
This section lists items for you to check when PLC communication does not perform properly.
Ethernet Communication
- Is IP address of the communication partner correct?
- Do the IP address segments of the communication partner and M2M Gateway match?
- Is the network cable connected properly?
-The CONPROSYS has a function for checking network connectivity.
Communication status between the CONPROSYS and the PLC can be checked.
*Some PLC units might be set not to return a ping response for security reasons.
Go to the "Network" in the "Maintenance" menu.
On the [ping], enter IP address of PLC in the "Target Address", then click the "Execute" button.
If ping does not return a response…
- Check the settings of LAN cable.
- Check whether IP address of PLC is set properly.
Reset the PLC settings if necessary.
Other items to check
- Is the communication setting mode appropriate or any trouble on it?
- Is the communication port correct? Is the setting port not used for different communication?
